Our Mission
Helping animals and families one step at a time through rescue, emergency pet medical assistance, and education
to enhance our community.
Rescue is the ONLY Option!
Paws and Claws Koochiching County is a 501(c)3 animal rescue group in which 100% of all proceeds go towards helping pets that are abandoned, abused, or otherwise in need of emergency medical care in International Falls and surrounding areas of Northern Minnesota and Canada. Other activities of Paws and Claws include foster care, pet adoption, spaying and neutering opportunities for community and foster pets, and relocating or rehoming animals.
We invite you to join our Auction & Rummage Sale group on Facebook, which always has a lot of fun and exciting items up for grabs and is our year-round way of raising money for the animals. Come join the fun!

Foster Application
When Paws and Claws cannot find another humane society or rescue group to help shelter or transport animals, our own members foster the pets and find forever homes for them. Would you like to make a difference in this way?

Landlord Permission Agreement
If you are a renter and would like to adopt or foster an animal from Paws and Claws Koochiching County, please print out this form and have your landlord fill it out. If possible, attach it to your foster/adoption application; otherwise have your landlord send it to us when he/she has completed it.
